Logo font identifier
Ever seen a wordmark and wondered what typeface it is? Upload a logo or brand image, and this tool compares the letterforms against 1,935 open-source Google Fonts, then ranks the closest matches.
Because logos are often built on custom or commercial faces, we also surface the best free, licence-safe alternatives so you can echo the brand without the licensing bill.
Drag & drop an image, or browse
PNG, JPG or WebP with crisp lettering works best. We never upload your image.

How it works
What to do
Upload the logo
Drop the logo image or paste it from your clipboard. A clean, front-facing wordmark works best.
Crop the lettering
Drag a rectangle tightly around the wordmark text. Skip any icons or symbols.
Review and identify
Correct any letters the engine misread, then let it match against the full library.
Getting the best result
Tips for accuracy
- Crop out the icon or symbol — pure letterforms match far more reliably.
- A large, high-contrast logo render beats a compressed favicon-size copy every time.
- If the logo is recoloured or has a shadow, the shape match still works: only the ink matters.
- When the closest match is a commercial face like Gotham or Helvetica, check the results for the free stand-in.
